Beyond ROI - Go with the FLOW

Dear Friends

Last week's my blog on 'Can we get ROI on Yoga' got tremendous response...Few were not willing to believe...

I understand your apprehensions as we have doubts whether ROI can be calculated on soft skills...

My answer is YES. You can calculate ROI on all types of training, provided you intend too.

My today's blog focuses on, 'Is everything restricted to ROI'. I feel there is something beyond.

Yesterday's day demonstrated that there is something beyond ROI. The international Yoga  day was celebrated across the world.

At Marine drive (Mumbai), huge crowd participated in the Yoga celebrations. The only other day when marine drive is so crowded and in a joyous mood, is the Mumbai Marathon...

The spirit, the entusism, the energy surpassed any number of monetary returns.

As Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi wrote in his book 'Flow' that Flow- is the secret to happiness...

And yesterday's day was a proof to the secret of happiness...People were looking inwards, no complains, no jealousy, no blame game...

Go with the Flow and and enjoy the ROI...

As Lord Krishna said
'Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,
Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma, Te Sangostvakarmani'.

Enjoy...

Can we get ROI on Yoga?

Dear Friends...

21st June, 2015 is announced as International Yoga Day (IYD). I am associated with Kaivalyadham Yog Center, Mumbai...

During one of the lecture sessions, I met a lady. When she came to know I am a ROI specialist, she asked, can we calulate ROI on Yoga training that we do in corporates?

Why not? I said...

She further questioned but yoga is a part of well being intitiaves that companies undertake.

I replied any kind of interventions that HR does can be brought under ROI process...

I gave her the objective setting for the ROI process...

She was surprised that Level wise objectives can be set for Yoga training too...

I also mentioned that just doing yoga is one part of it. It needs to be followed by eating healthy food and maintaining a discipline to have practice Yoga regularly...Only then can you reap long term benefits.

Have a healthy life...
